Village Cricket Club Vs Kingfisher Island Cricket Club
Game four featured last years champions and hot favourites for this years titles, the Kingfishers V’s the very social Village Club.
WIth the Village batting first the score ticked over at a reasonable rate with Arun top scoring after being bowled by Anand for 33 runs. At the end of the innings the Village had scored a credible 160 runs for the KICC to chase.
Immediately, the KICC batsmen chased well and only lost their first wicket for 68 runs with Ibrihim being decalred out LBW for 28. Summit top scored with a solid 58 not out and the total of 163 was made after only 20 overs. Comments made at the ground were that if a few more catches were held the Village would have made a better challenge at this game.
